Job Description

The Leprosy Mission (TLM) is a leading international Christian Organization with 150 years of experience, active in over 30 countries, working towards the vision of “Leprosy Defeated, Lives Transformed.”

The Leprosy Mission International – Ethiopia (TLMI-E) works to reduce stigma and discrimination through leprosy, disability, and socio-economic inclusion programs. We are committed to empowering persons affected by leprosy to enhance their dignity, participation, and inclusion. TLMI-E’s Country Office is located in Addis Ababa.

We are currently recruiting a Program Coordinator for TLMI-E’s Disability Inclusion Program and related initiatives.

Job Summary

The Program Coordinator (PC) is responsible for ensuring that all TLMI-E projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The PC serves as the primary liaison between TLMI-E and its implementing partners to ensure timely, accurate, and quality project implementation. Strengthening partner capacity is a key component of achieving TLMI-E’s long-term program objectives.

This role requires coordinating multiple projects simultaneously and communicating clear expectations and technical requirements across all areas of program intervention. The PC must be able to maintain detailed and accurate documentation, and provide high-quality communication both written and verbal.

We are seeking a highly motivated professional who will lead the development of proposals and manage TLMI-E’s programs on leprosy, disability, and inclusion. The Program Coordinator will also act as the focal person for TLM within partner organizations in Ethiopia.

This is a three-year contract, with a possibility of extension based on program funding.

About You

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a relevant postgraduate degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Disability Studies, Public Health, or a related field, and demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Program Management
  • Proven expertise in disability inclusion and capacity-building of DPOs
  • Experience in budget management and donor funding
  • Strong networking skills at international, national, governmental, and civil society levels, including NGOs and DPOs
  • Working proficiency in English and excellent spoken and written Amharic
  • Strong computer skills, particularly MS Office
  • Demonstrable analytical ability to collect information, analyze data, and draw conclusions
  • Creative and strategic thinking skills for problem solving and solution development
  • Ability to professionally represent the organization in external forums and working groups
