Job Description

Position Title: Protocol Officer / Protocol Service Provider
Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Reports To: EAPN On-Ground Coordinator
Duration: June 1, 2026 – June 30, 2026

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized Protocol Officer to manage VIP arrangements and official event protocols during the conference.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate reception arrangements for VIPs and dignitaries.
Manage guest movement and seating arrangements.
Coordinate official meetings and receptions.
Liaise with government offices and diplomatic missions.
Manage official event procedures and protocol standards.

Deliverables

Protocol briefing document.
Successful management of VIP arrangements and seating.

Qualifications

Proven experience in media relations and communications.
Strong network with local and regional media outlets.
Strong experience in protocol and VIP management.
Knowledge of Ethiopian government and diplomatic protocol.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Fluency in English and Amharic is required.
Excellent writing and content creation skills.
