About the Opportunity

Haramaya University, in partnership with Ahadu Academy, is launching the Project Management Foundation: An Organizational Perspective online short course.

To mark this launch, a fully-funded pilot round is being offered for 15 selected professionals. This competitive opportunity will allow participants to join the first cohort free of charge, while helping refine the course and create success stories before it is opened to the wider public.

Course Background

Project management is becoming one of the most in-demand skills in Ethiopia’s job market. Many professionals are required to coordinate or lead projects but often lack formal training.

This 10-week course has been designed to:

• Provide a strong foundation in project management principles and practices.
• Equip participants with tools for planning, monitoring, and evaluating projects.
• Strengthen leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Build career confidence and qualifications for advancement.

Upon completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Haramaya University.

Training Details

• Mode of Delivery: Cohort learning,6-8 hours per week, 100% Online (flexible for working professionals)
• Duration: 10 Weeks
• Start Date: November , 2025
• Course Fee: 17,500 ETB (Approx. $120 USD) (covered under full sponsorship for the 15 selected pilot participants)
• Certification: Awarded by Haramaya University

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be a university graduate or working professional in Ethiopia.
• Demonstrate motivation to develop project management skills.
• Commit to completing the full 10-week program.
• Have access to a computer and a reliable internet connection.
