Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Project/Program Implementation:

  • Supporting the planning and execution of project activities, ensuring they align with organizational goals and donor requirements.
  • Ensuring project activities are implemented effectively and efficiently, meeting deadlines and achieving desired results.

Compliance and Administration:

  • Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as donor requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to project activities.
  • Contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the organization.

Technical

  • Provide hands-on technical support and facilitate capacity-building initiatives for communities and stakeholders on diverse regreening practices, sustainable agriculture, and/or rangeland management techniques, financial inclusion, market development, nutrition, including the establishment of demonstration sites and knowledge exchange, S4T groups, Producers group, and volunteers.
  • Execute field-level project activities according to work plans, monitor progress against targets, identify challenges, and collect relevant data to contribute to effective project implementation and reporting.
  • Identify and support opportunities for green and restoration-focused rural enterprises and income-generating activities, particularly for women and youth, facilitating linkages to value chains and markets.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local leaders, community organizations, government partners, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and synergy in project implementation.
  • Collect accurate field data, contribute to regular project reports and documentation of lessons learned, and actively participate in knowledge sharing and adaptive management processes.

 

knowledge, skills, and experiences:

Required Education, training, license, registration, and/or Certification:

  • Qualification required: MSc/BSc in Natural resource management, Forestry, Environment, Rural development, Agroeconomics, and related fields.
  • Experience: 5 years’ experience on field level implementation of integrated program, including Landscape Restoration, Agroforestry, FMNR, resilient rural livelihood, financial inclusion, and Market Development in INGOs Context.
  • Working experience in community-led natural resource management, Economic Development, Nutrition, and exposure to evergreen agriculture, climate-smart agriculture, and degraded land management.
  • Additional working experience on promotion, advocacy, and scale-up related activities.

Required Professional Experience:

  • Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field •
  • Travel: 60% Domestic.
  • On call and email: 40%
