Job Title: Junior Physiotherapist

Work Unit: Addis Pediatric Rehabilitation Center (APRC)

Immediate Supervisor: Center Manager

Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the manager, the Junior physiotherapist is responsible for treatment and assessment of children with disabilities (CWDs); reassesses CWDs of assistant rehabilitation workers on quarterly base; trains mothers and caregivers to empower and advocate on right of their children; writes prescription for assistive devices and medical referral in collaboration with Multi-disciplinary team (MDT). Organizes refresher training for assistant rehabilitation workers. Supervises and supports assistant rehabilitation workers. Updates and uploads data of CWDs in the data system.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gives treatment for CWDs including follow-up children per day.
• Re assesses and develops treatment plan for new CWDs per week.
• Reassesses CWDs of assistant rehabilitation workers on quarterly basis and provide feedback.
• Writes prescription of appliances and medical referral for CWDs in cooperation with MDT.
• Writes discharge form and medical certificate for CWDs who have completed treatment in collaboration with MDT.
• Writes monthly report; next month action plan and case story of CWDs who have successfully completed.
• Data system should be up dated on daily and weekly basis as well uploading clients’ information.
• Provides refresher training for assistant rehabilitation workers on neurodevelopment skills.
• Supports and supervises assistant rehabilitation workers in day to day activities.
• Transfers the CWD’s cards to assistant rehabilitation workers while in annual leave
• Respects CE’ employees administrative manual, rules and regulation and also observes professional ethics.

Salary: 16164 Birr

Medical allowance per year: 15,000

Transportation allowance per month: 500
