EDA is seeking to hire a qualified candidate for the following position:
01. Human Resource Manager
Deadline: March 1, 2026 | Location: EDA Head Office, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Position Summary
The Human Resource Manager will report directly to the General Manager and oversee all employee-related functions. The role serves as a liaison between management and staff, handling recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, and legal compliance. The HR Manager will foster a positive, productive, and strategic workforce aligned with EDA’s mission.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and integration of new employees.
- Employee Relations: Address conflicts, resolve issues, and promote a positive work environment.
- Performance Management: Support evaluations, goal setting, and employee development.
- Compensation & Benefits: Administer pay structures, benefits programs, and payroll oversight.
- Policy & Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies; ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

- Procurement planning: developing strategies aligned with organizational goals and managing budgets.
- Purchase orders: creating and managing orders with accurate records.

03. Store Accountant

Position Summary
The Store Accountant will report to the Finance/General Manager and will be responsible for managing fixed assets, inventory, procurement records, and store operations. He/she ensures that financial and material resources are properly documented, safeguarded, and utilized in compliance with organizational policies.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Fixed Asset Management
- Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and properties.
- Ensure all assets are registered, valued, and assigned identification numbers.
- Reconcile custodians’ records with the asset register and periodic inventory counts.
- Verify existence of assets against physical inventory annually.
- Coordinate periodic inventory, including forming counting teams and preparing reports.
- Recommend valuation for assets without recorded value.
Inventory & Store Management
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials; reconcile with purchase orders.
- Issue items based on authorized requisitions and prepare Store Issue Vouchers (SIV).
- Maintain stock cards, bin cards, and monitor reorder levels.
- Prepare purchase requisitions for stock replenishment.
- Organize materials according to proper storage conditions and maintain a safe, orderly store.
- Document and report damages or discrepancies in received goods.
Procurement & Financial Support
- Receive approved purchase requisitions and collect proforma invoices.
- Facilitate purchases, ensure proper documentation, and deliver items to authorized recipients.
- Maintain purchase files and related documents.
- Assist project coordinators in budget utilization and prepare budget comparison reports.
- Prepare periodic financial statements and facilitate audits.
Vehicle & Logistics Support
- Ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and inspection of association vehicles.
- Keep vehicle documents updated and ensure annual inspections are completed.
- Record trips in logbooks and report accidents immediately.
- Follow up on vehicle repairs and general check-ups.
General Duties
- Support smooth financial and operational processes.

05. Junior Accountant

Position Summary
The Junior Accountant will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for supporting the finance department in facilitating project activities and EDA’s main operations. He/she ensures that regular financial activities are properly executed and documented.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping and preparation of financial documents.
- Prepare bank payment vouchers, checks, bank transfers, and payment requests.
- Handle monthly income tax, pension, and VAT declarations.
- Manage petty cash and Telebirr replenishment.
- Cash collection
- Daily cash collection and deposit.
- Follow up on monthly utility bills.
- Collect monthly bank statements and facilitate bank-related tasks.
- Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Organize accounting of different projects in cooperation with Finance Officers.
- Acquaint with EDA’s financial and accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare checks, CPO payments, and verify supporting documents.
- Prepare cash receipt invoices and file them properly.
- Assist in procurement processes and provide financial feedback to the procurement committee.
- Maintain a structured filing system with proper coding and stamping.
- Ensure timely filing of vouchers, receipts, and financial letters.
- Prepare payables (taxes, personal loans, etc.) and follow up on pending documents.
- Administer and control approved budgets; monitor expenditures against budget.
- Follow up on receipt and utilization of donor funds and sponsorship gifts.
- Check appropriateness of payment requests before approval.
- Record transactions in proper accounts.
- Prepare payroll and arrange timely salary payments.
- Control cash and bank accounts; reconcile bank accounts with statements.
