To further strengthen our commitment to sustainable growth, we are seeking a passionate and skilled ESG Compliance Officer to join our leadership team.
Position Summary:
The ESG Compliance Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance framework. This strategic role is critical for ensuring we meet international ESG standards, comply with evolving regulations, and integrate sustainable practices across our entire value chain—from farm to export. The officer will act as the primary advisor to senior management on all ESG matters.
Key Responsibilities:
1. ESG Program Development & Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive ESG strategy and policy framework aligned with our business objectives.
- Establish and monitor key ESG performance indicators (KPIs) and targets.
- Conduct gap analyses to assess our current ESG performance against global standards and customer requirements.
2. Environmental Compliance & Sustainability:
- Oversee compliance with national environmental regulations and international standards.
- Manage environmental impact assessments and develop strategies for resource efficiency (water, energy), waste reduction, and pollution control.
- Lead climate risk assessments and develop initiatives for carbon footprint reduction and climate resilience, particularly within our agricultural supply chain.
3. Social Responsibility & Ethical Operations:
- Develop and enforce policies on human rights, labor standards, health & safety, and community engagement.
- Implement and manage a robust supplier code of conduct and due diligence process for our smallholder farmers and partners.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace and our value chain.
- Oversee community investment and development programs.
4. Governance & Reporting:
- Ensure transparent and accurate disclosure of ESG performance in our annual sustainability report and other communications.
- Prepare reports and presentations on ESG risks, opportunities, and performance for the Deputy Managing Director and the Board.
- Strengthen internal controls and audit processes related to ESG.
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Training:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ESG-related inquiries from investors, customers, regulators, and NGOs.
- Design and deliver ESG training programs to build capacity and awareness across all employee levels and with key partners.
About You
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance, sustainability, or risk management role, with at least 2 years directly focused on ESG issues. Experience in the agriculture, agro-processing, or FMCG sector is a significant advantage.
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of global ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, UN SDGs) and their application in an agricultural context.
- Knowledge of Ethiopian environmental and social regulations.
- Familiarity with supply chain sustainability and ethical sourcing principles.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience for our global markets.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound customer inquiries through phone, email, chat, and CRM systems.
- Provide timely, accurate, and professional responses across multiple channels.
- Manage and update customer information in the CRM platform.
- Follow up on customer complaints, feedback, and requests to ensure resolution.
- Coordinate with the sales, operations, and logistics teams to support order processing and customer service workflows.

03. Production Planning & Warehouse Controller

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planning & Warehouse Controller to join our factory operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, monitoring raw material availability, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. This role is essential to guaranteeing efficient production flow and timely order fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning
- Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules in coordination with the production manager.
- Ensure availability of raw materials, packaging, and other inputs according to production requirements.
- Monitor actual production performance against plans and adjust schedules when necessary.
- Coordinate with procurement and quality departments to minimize delays and ensure efficient production flow.
Warehouse & Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate records of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Oversee proper storage, handling, and issuing of materials based on FIFO and company standards.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and warehouse activity reports.
Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with procurement, production, quality, and logistics teams.
- Track incoming shipments and ensure timely receipt and recording of materials.
- Report on production variances, material usage, and wastage.

About You
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Management, Accounting or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in production planning, inventory control, or warehouse management (manufacturing experience preferred).

- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel is a must).
