01. General Accounts Head

Location: Addis Ababa   |    Deadline: May 2, 2026

Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions
  • Lead day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, fixed assets, reconciliations)
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
  • Ensure preparation of accurate financial statements (IFRS/local GAAP)
  • Establish and enforce internal controls, policies, and compliance procedures
  • Oversee tax filings, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and key account reconciliations
  • Review financial reports and support management decision-making
  • Improve ERP systems, accounting processes, and reporting efficiency
  • Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting team

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related fields with a minimum of Six (6) years of demonstrated experience, preferably in corporate finance management.

02. Senior Accountant

Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain general ledger and post accurate journal entries
  • Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare trial balances and financial reports
  • Manage fixed assets and record depreciation
  • Assist in tax preparation and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Support audits with required documentation and schedules
  • Provide guidance to junior accounting staff
  • Use accounting systems effectively and suggest improvements
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields with a minimum of Four (4) years of demonstrated experience, preferably in corporate finance management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient daily office operations and workflow.
• Manage office supplies, facility maintenance, and logistics.
• Organize meetings, take minutes, and handle internal communications.

• Coordinate staff scheduling, attendance, and travel arrangements.

• Utilize data-driven insights and analytical tools and identify root causes of problems and develop effective solutions.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses and support strategic decision-making.
• Develop financial models and forecasts.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project budgets.
• Communicate project status and results to clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualification and Experience
