Job Title: Grants Coordinator
Reports To: Senior Manager of Grant Partnerships
Location: Addis Ababa HQ office
Status: Full-time, Temporary position with the possibility of being permanent
Temporary assignment: May – December 2025
Position Summary:
The Grants Coordinator will play a key role in supporting grant reporting, collaborating with the Programs, Finance, and Grants teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Additionally, the position will conduct in-country research for new funding opportunities and take the lead in developing first-time concept papers and grant applications. This role is ideal for someone with experience in WASH and non-profits who is looking to further develop their expertise in grant management and fundraising within an impactful organization.
Responsibilities & Duties Overview:
- Collaborate with the Programs, Finance, and Grants teams to compile and submit grant reports, ensuring all data, financials, and impact stories align with donor requirements.
- Maintain grant records (Salesforce, SharePoint, Asana), track deadlines, and ensure compliance with donor expectations.
- Conduct in-country research to identify new funding opportunities, including local and international donors that align with the organization’s mission.
- Develop first-time concept papers and grant applications, drafting compelling content based on research, field data, and program needs.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Work Experience & Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Passion for Water for Good’s mission of transforming lives through sustainable access to safe water, as well as improved sanitation and hygiene, in places that need it most
- Experience in WASH, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, International Development, Business, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a non-profit setting, particularly in grant reporting, research, or fundraising.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft compelling reports and proposals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong research skills with the ability to identify and analyze funding opportunities.
- Legally eligible to work in Ethiopia; no sponsorship will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Asana, and SharePoint is a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is a plus.
Physical Qualifications:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
