Eligibility: Open only to Ethiopian nationals who are based in Addis Ababa.
Language skills: Excellent written and spoken Amharic and Somali; Proficient in spoken and written English. Spoken Oromo is an added advantage.
Reports to: Country Sensitive Feedback Lead
CCRDA, in partnership with Talk to Loop, is seeking a Moderator to support the implementation of the Talk to Loop platform in Ethiopia. The position will be hosted at the CCRDA office in Addis Ababa and will work closely with both CCRDA and the global Talk to Loop team.
The Moderator will review, categorize, and manage feedback submitted to the Loop platform, ensuring submissions are handled safely, confidentially, and in a timely manner. The role requires strong contextual knowledge of the Ethiopian humanitarian and development landscape, excellent language skills, and the ability to identify sensitive protection concerns.
The Moderator will collaborate closely with CCRDA and global Talk to Loop colleagues to ensure effective integration of the platform in Ethiopia and uphold high standards of accountability and community engagement.
This position offers a meaningful opportunity to strengthen community voice, promote transparency, and contribute to more responsive humanitarian and development programming. In this role, you will review, tag, and manage feedback submitted to the Loop platform, ensuring it is safe, timely, and impactful. You will use your knowledge of the local aid landscape and language skills to uphold community standards, identify sensitive issues, and provide accurate translation and cultural context. As a Moderator, you will work closely with global colleagues and moderators in other countries to ensure Loop’s smooth integration in Ethiopia. This is a unique opportunity to amplify voices, promote accountability, and shape more transparent humanitarian and development responses. The role may involve weekend or holiday coverage on rotation, with growth opportunities in communications, monitoring & evaluation, and protection.
