DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The consultant will carry out the following:
DEVELOPMENT OF A STRATEGIC AND OPERATION ACTION PLAN :
CONSOLIDATION OF A RESOURCE MOBILISATION STRATEGY :
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:
The consultant will provide the following deliverables to CAPC-AC and WMO:
Deliverable 1 (End of February 2026): An inception report providing an updated assessment of the current status of CAPC-AC climatological services, including production and delivery capacities; preliminary recommendations on benefits for Member States; an initial roadmap for user identification and engagement; and a consolidated list of relevant stakeholders and institutional contacts with potential to support CAPC-AC in the development and delivery of climate services;
Deliverable 2 (End of March 2026): Drafts of the strategic plan and action plan for the agreed period, including recommendations to support the effective implementation and operationalization of CAPC-AC activities;
Deliverable 3 (End of April 2026): Finalized strategic and operational plans, a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy, and a detailed agenda for the validation workshop.
Proposed fee: Payband C or D (390-750 USD) to be defined depending upon experience, knowledge, and skills.
