The British Office Sudan (BOS) is seeking a proactive and skilled Finance Analyst to join our team. This role will be central to providing high‑quality financial oversight, assurance, and advice across programmes delivering UK Aid in Sudan.
As a key member of the Sudan team, you will report to the ODA Finance Manager and work within the Operational Excellence team led by the Deputy Development Director. You will collaborate closely with programme colleagues to support strong financial management and ensure that value for money for the UK taxpayer is embedded throughout FCDO programmes and investments.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with programme teams in ensuring that value for money is at the heart of FCDO programming as well as supporting teams to meet corporate and fiduciary standards. You will also partner with corporate functions—including Commercial and HR to foster a strong organisational culture and support excellence across the business area.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and analytically minded individual with strong financial skills. The ideal applicant will be confident working with data, have advanced Excel capability, and be an effective communicator able to engage colleagues at all levels. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute directly to the impact and accountability of the UK’s development work in Sudan.
In this role, the Finance Analyst supports the effective oversight and quality assurance of the UK’s aid spending in Sudan. The postholder will have strong background in finance, alongside excellent analytical ability in order to support the Finance Manager to evaluate the portfolio’s financial performance and risk.
