The Case Worker provides direct support to women, men, and children affected by Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and other protection concerns in a humanitarian context. The position holder is responsible for the effective implementation of GBV case management services, ensuring survivors and persons at risk receive timely, confidential, and survivor-centered support.
Based at woreda and kebele-level field locations, the Case Worker works closely with community structures, local partners, and government service providers to identify, assess, refer, and follow up on GBV and protection cases. This includes providing psychosocial first aid, facilitating referrals for medical, legal, and psychosocial services, and ensuring regular follow-up and safe case closure in line with national GBV and child protection case management standards.
The Case Worker also contributes to awareness raising, prevention initiatives, and community-based protection mechanisms, ensuring that survivors and at-risk individuals can access services safely and with dignity. The position aligns with the National GBV and Child Protection Case Management Framework, GBV Guiding Principles, and ChildFund’s Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
