Bid invitation for the Supply of Agricultural Inputs/ Improved Potato Seed

Neumann Stiftung Ethiopia) is a development organization dedicated to empowering smallholder farming communities, primarily focusing on sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, and improving livelihoods. As part of the global HRNS network, the Ethiopia office works closely with coffee farmers and other agricultural producers to enhance their productivity, market access, and resilience against climate challenges

Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung (HRNS) – Ethiopia is inviting eligible and certified suppliers to submit a quotation for the supply of Improved Potato Seed (Belete Type) in accordance with the following specifications and requirements.

2. Potato Seed Standards

• Genetic Purity, Size & Shape, Physiological Quality, Vigour, Health Quality, and Storage.
• Seed Classes: Certified or QDS
• Inspection and Labeling: Variety, seed class, producer, year, and certification number must be indicated on the packaging.

3. Documentation Requirements

• Seed Inspection Report:
  Suppliers must submit valid inspection reports from recognized seed inspection authorities or regulatory bodies confirming compliance with the above standards.
• Certification:
  Seeds must be sourced from certified or Quality Declared Seed (QDS) producers recognized by the Ethiopian Agricultural Authority or accredited research institutions.
