An exciting vacant position has arisen at East Africa Bottling Share Company – Ethiopia for the role of Area Sales Manager for Hawassa, Bahir Dar and Kebri Dahar cities. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Area Sales Manager will serve as a strategic driver of volume and revenue growth. This role demands a leader capable of inspiring a high-performance sales team, optimizing market execution, and upholding our commitment to excellence.

Key Purpose Statement

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sustainable volume and revenue growth within the assigned territory through effective sales execution, market development, and customer relationship management. The role leads and develops a high-performing sales team, ensures excellence in Route-to-Market execution, maximizes the utilization of sales resources, and delivers superior customer service to achieve business objectives and strengthen market leadership.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Sales Execution Excellence : Ensure streamlined trade execution according to Route-To-Market (RTM) principles, across territories, to support for increased sales volume and market share
Revenue Growth : Achieve volume growth, nett sales revenue growth, and increased penetration of key packs across territories
Sales Team Development : Build a high-performing, motivated, frontline sales team by providing coaching and training
Customer Relationships : Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery
Effective Resource Utilization : Ensure the right tools, resources, and promotional materials are distributed and used effectively across channels.

Skills, Experience & Education

Education

First Degree in Marketing Management/ Management/ Economics/Business Administration or related field of studies

Experience

3+ years relevant work experience in Sales and Marketing within a FMCG environment.
1 year experience on supervisory role.
Must have valid minimum Auto / Dry 1 driving license

Skills

Strong understanding of FMCG sales practices, RTM principles, and market execution standards

Demonstrated ability to use digital platforms for sales optimization, along with the capability to interpret and act on sales reports.
