Job Description
Reporting To: Program Coordinator
Number of Positions: Three (One per Zone)
Duty Stations (Secondment):
- East Hararge Zone – Harar City
- West Hararge Zone – Chiro Town
- Jimma Zone – Jimma Town
About the Role
TLMI-Ethiopia is seeking three qualified Project Officers to support the implementation of ELK, P2D, and BRIDGE projects in Oromia Region. The role focuses on strengthening leprosy control, disability inclusion, community engagement, and health system capacity in collaboration with government and community partners.
Project Officers will coordinate project activities, support health facilities, work with community and religious institutions, and ensure effective program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage project implementation
- Strengthen disability inclusion and leprosy programs
- Support health facilities and community structures
- Conduct supervision, training, and monitoring
- Facilitate partnerships with government and NGOs
- Prepare reports and document best practices
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Public Health, Epidemiology with background of social science & related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management
- Experience with donor-funded programs
- Strong skills in supervision, training, and reporting
- Knowledge of leprosy diagnosis, treatment, and disability inclusion
- Experience in TB and leprosy programs
- Good data management and documentation skills
- Fluent in Amharic and Afaan Oromo; working knowledge of English
- Strong computer skills (MS Office)
