• Employment Type: Temporary-Duty-Contract with the Possibility of Extension

Position Summary:

The WASH Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring WASH activities in target communities. This includes community mobilization, coordination with stakeholders, supervising WASH infrastructure development, and promoting safe hygiene practices.The project will be implemented in West Belesa and Kinfaz Begela woredas, Amhara Region, Ethiopia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement WASH project activities in accordance with project plans
• Support construction and rehabilitation of water and sanitation facilities
• Conduct hygiene promotion and awareness campaigns
• Mobilize communities and facilitate Training on safe WASH practices
• Monitor progress and provide timely field reports

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Water Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in WASH implementation, humanitarian or development settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of hygiene promotion approaches and WASH infrastructure
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
