Project Officer – Central Gondar

FIA empowers children, women, and youth through programs focused on health, education, and economic resilience, working toward an equitable, and sustainable future for Ethiopia.

Position Summary:

FIA seeks a proactive Project Officer to support the delivery of WASH and Health activities. The officer will coordinate field operations, engage communities and stakeholders, and help ensure activities are implemented effectively and on schedule. The project will be implemented in West Belesa and Kinfaz Begela woredas, Amhara Region, Ethiopia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement project activities per the project plan and timeline
• Coordinate with local authorities, communities, and partners
• Facilitate training, hygiene promotion, and awareness campaigns
• Collect and manage monitoring data and reporting
• Analyze risks and opportunities.
• Manage deployment of deliverable.
• Ensure project deadlines are met.
• Provide administrative support as needed, evaluate project performance, determine project changes, Manage project documentation and reporting.
• Track budget, activities, progress, etc
• Organize meetings, take meeting notes.

• Bachelors in Project management, Sociology, Social Sciences, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in WASH and/or health project implementation
• Experience with NGOs or development programs preferred
• Fluent in English and Amharic; excellent report and email writing
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Knowledge of Amhara region context is a strong asset
