An exciting vacant position has arisen at East Africa Bottling Share Company – Ethiopia for the role of Warehouse Team Leader. The position is structured to report to the Warehouse Manager.

Key Purpose Statement

To lead and coordinate warehouse operations by ensuring effective stock management, optimal utilization of warehouse resources, maintenance of inventory accuracy, and adherence to warehouse operational standards to support efficient business operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management and control.
Lead and manage warehouse personnel to achieve operational objectives.
Ensure accuracy of physical stock counts and inventory records.
Optimize utilization of warehouse resources, including storage space, forklifts, and inventory capacity.
Coordinate loading activities and maximize truck/load utilization.
Plan and manage warehouse materials supply requirements.
Maintain high standards of warehouse housekeeping, safety, and organization.
Monitor warehouse performance and evaluate operational processes for continuous improvement.
Implement measures to improve efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and inventory management standards.

Skills, Experience & Education

Education

First Degree in Purchasing & Supplies Management, Procurement & Supplies Management, Management, Accounting, or related fields.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of relevant warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience

Skills

Experience in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) operations.
Strong coordination and organizational skills.
Inventory and stock management expertise.
People management and team leadership skills.
Load maximization and warehouse utilization capabilities.
Supply planning and materials management knowledge.
Resource optimization skills (space, forklifts, inventory, and manpower).
Strong housekeeping and warehouse management practices.
Ability to measure, analyze, and improve operational processes.
High attention to detail and accuracy in physical stock counting and inventory reconciliation.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
