Warehouse Head

The Warehouse Head will be responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. You will develop and implement processes, optimize workflows, and ensure that the warehouse operates at maximum efficiency. This is a critical role in managing inventory, reducing costs, improving accuracy, and maintaining the overall quality and safety of the warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Development & Optimization:

• Design, implement, and improve warehouse processes to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Analyze current workflows and introduce enhancements to improve productivity, accuracy, and speed of operations.
• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse functions, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.

Warehouse Operations Management:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics.
• Ensure that the warehouse is compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Manage space optimization, ensuring optimal utilization of warehouse capacity.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to meet operational goals.
• Set performance targets for warehouse staff, monitor progress, and provide feedback.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet demand and peak periods.

Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate inventory records and implement cycle counts to reduce discrepancies.
• Ensure that inventory levels are accurate and meet the business needs.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize stock levels.

Technology & Automation:

• Leverage warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to streamline processes.
• Identify opportunities for automation to improve productivity and accuracy.
• Oversee the implementation of new tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Cost Control & Reporting:

• Monitor and manage the warehouse budget, focusing on cost savings and efficiency gains.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on warehouse performance.
• Provide regular updates on inventory levels, stock movement, and operational performance to management.
