Job Description

The urban mobility program of WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities works in key solution areas including sustainable integrated public transport, road safety, walking & bicycling, new mobility, transport demand management, mobility planning and accessibility.

Job Highlight:

You will support national policies, strategies, and guidelines development for the improvement of road safety and the implementation of low carbon and sustainable transport, such as mass transit and non-motorized transport. You are expected to provide technical support and build the capacity of experts and decision makers. You will be supported by the WRI Africa Urban Mobility team, experts from the Global Office, and our colleagues working in our offices around the globe.

You will directly report to the Urban Mobility Project Manager for WRI Africa and the Director of Thriving and Resilient Cities for WRI Africa.

Project Management (45% time)

Research & Knowledge (45% time)

Communications (5% time)

Grants and Financial Management (5% time)

Opportunity summary:

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Start date: Upon mutual agreement with candidate

Type of Contract: Limited-term, full time with possibility of renewal

Length of Contract: 12 months with possibility of renewal

Potential salary: Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors. WRI offers a competitive remuneration and benefits package.
