Job Description
Background
The Ethiopian Media Women Association (EMWA) is a leading organization committed to empowering women in media, promoting ethical journalism, and advancing gender equity across Ethiopia. As part of its ongoing initiatives, EMWA seeks to produce a professionally crafted video documentation that captures the impact, stories, and strategic vision of its programs particularly those focused on media literacy, trauma-informed journalism, and mentorship for women journalists.
Objective of the Assignment
To produce a high-quality, engaging video that documents EMWA’s work, showcases its impact, and serves as a strategic communication tool for advocacy, fundraising, and stakeholder
engagement.
Scope of Work
The selected consultant/production team will be responsible for:
Pre-Production
- Story concept and treatment development
- Research, scriptwriting & narrative outline
- Filming logistics, scheduling & location planning
Production
- Filming interviews and testimonials from beneficiaries, staff, and partners.
- Capturing institutional activities, event footage & archival content
- Estimated filming days:
- Estimated locations: Addis Ababa
Post-Production
- Editing & storytelling
- Motion graphics, branding & subtitles
- Sound design & music
- Color grading
- Final master output 10-15 minute long

The assignment is expected to be completed within 4 weeks from the date of contract signing.

About You
Required skills
- Proven experience in video production, especially in development or advocacy contexts.
- Strong storytelling and visual communication skills.
- Familiarity with gender-sensitive and trauma-informed approaches.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in Amharic and English is preferred.

Bidders must submit a detailed and itemized budget in ETB and the budget will be negotiated based on the scope and quality of deliverables. Payment will be made in installments tied to key milestones.
