TOR for Experienced Trainers and Business Coaches
For strengthening Resilience of Disaster Affected Communities through Durable Solutions project in
Oromia and Somali Region
Reach for Change is a non-profit non-governmental international organization with its headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. The organization is operational in 11 countries across the globe out of which three countries are in Africa. Reach for Change was registered in Ethiopia as a foreign organization in 2015 with registration number 3419 with the aim to positively impact the lives of young women and children in Ethiopia by building the capacity of local social entrepreneurs.
This Project with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), aims to bolster the resilience of disaster-affected communities in the Oromia and Somali regions of Ethiopia through targeted off-farm livelihood activities. The complex humanitarian landscape, characterized by climate change impacts, conflicts, and economic hardships, has severely affected vulnerable populations, particularly internally displaced Peoples (IDPs), women, and youth. Reach for Change (RFC) plans to provide entrepreneurial training and enhance access to financial resources for these groups, empowering them to launch small-scale businesses. This initiative aligns with the shared objective of improving socio-economic standards and facilitating durable solutions for communities facing displacement, thereby supporting their integration or return.
Purpose
The selected Trainers/ Coaches will deliver high-quality training sessions tailored to the needs of adult learners, accommodating varying literacy levels among participants after a Training of Trainers (ToT) provided by the RFC experts. In addition, they will support group businesses with tailored business coaching for off-farm SMEs. The training and coaching will focus on key areas such as financial management, business development, marketing, and sustainability practices on off-farm livelihood diversification.
Objective
The objective is to train a total of 200 women and youth business owners and 15 youth and women group businesses across seven woredas: three in Oromia (Gela, Darera Arba, and Ganda Buno) and four in Somali (Awbare, Kebribeyah, Erer, and Gode).
