Role Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced senior welder to join Kegna beverage share company team. He/she is responsible for performing various welding tasks on metal components and machinery, ensuring high-quality welding task and attention to detail.

Able to proposes new welding processes and possibly takes part in their development.

Key Responsibilities:

1, Read engineering drawings, lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies using straight edge, combination square, calipers, and ruler.

2, Provide Welding and Fabrication services using state of the art welding equipment such as TIG, MIG, arc weld and oxyacetylene welding equipment.

3, Weld small and large metal components, such as pipelines, rectangular bar, beams, flat metal and all other part as required for specific task.

4, Operating welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and arc welders to join, fabricate, and repair metal components.

5, Cut work pieces using powered saws, hand shears, or chipping knife

6, Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.

7, Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

8, Work with many types of metals, such as iron, carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel.

9, The welders will layout, position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers.

10, Proposes and carries out improvement actions, corrective/modification and/or preventive actions.

11, Inspecting and testing welded surfaces and structures to ensure they meet the desired strength.

12, Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, ear plug and safety shoes.

13, Collaborating with other team members to complete projects within specified deadlines.

14, Establishes and/or participates in the preparation of technical documents (Free hand sketch, design, draw the work piece).

15, Perform all tasks in an efficient, safe, and productive manner.

16, Ensure the stock number of consumable items of welding workshop, such as electrode, filler rod, grinding/cutting disc, argon gas and others.

17, Propose the right material for specific task

18, Perform other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Education background: Certificate in general metal fabrication/ Advance diploma/Bsc. in Vocational or Technical School
• Work experience: 5/8years of relevant experience in welding and metal fabrication preferable in Food industry.

• Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools
• Familiar with kaizen/5S to organize the work place
• A strong understanding of metal technology
• Strong skill of work-order execution
• Extensive knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs

• Ability to work under pressure with less supervision
• Familiar with TIG, MIG and arc welding machine working principle
• Extensive knowledge of DT and NDT to ensure the strength of welded joint.
• Ability to perform argon gas purging during welding for food contact pipeline/surface
• Strong understanding of different safe working permit, such as Hot work, work at height, electrical work and other.
