Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia (HFHE) is a branch of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI). HEHE is currently operating under Africa Habitat for Humanity International. Since it started operation in 1993, Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia has supported thousands of families and individuals. Initially focused on mortgage houses for families affected by poverty and other vulnerabilities, the organization has expanded its efforts to incorporate vulnerable group housing, urban slum upgrading, urban resilience building, water sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and Disaster Risk Reduction Response (DR3)-WASH Resilience Building.
Position: Senior Fundraising Specialist
JOB SUMMARY
To support all aspects of the fundraising including prospecting and acquiring potential donors and philanthropies locally as well as internationally through supporting fundraiser GFOI, Resource Development (RD) and GFN countries that includes multiple income streams – such as foundations, governments, corporate, High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), etc. and facilitate existing relationships.
The position holder will work closely with Partnership Development and Resource Mobilization Manager to draw effective strategies for fund raising with existing as well as newly established partnership structure. The position holder will be responsible for ensuring that HFHE identify, engage, and influence key shelter and WASH stakeholders in Ethiopia.
Duration of the contract: 2 years with possibility of extension.
