Position Description
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for professional accounting work, supervising, investigating, evaluating, reconciling, and problem solving regarding transaction processing. The position is integral to ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounting activities and to maintain a sound financial control environment.
Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Prepare financial statements and records activity relating to pension fund investments, revenues, and expenses
- Supervise and initializing the processing of client information cheques, receipts, sales invoices, purchase invoices
- Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Perform bank reconciliations(reconciling balance sheet accounts and bank statements)
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, tax laws, and internal policies and procedures
- Performing audities and internal controls testing
- Providing financial analysis, Recording transactions, and prepare and explain financial statements,
- Posting in peach tree accounting systems
- Prepare the notes to financial statements qualifying the report of an accounting officer
- Manage cash flow and optimize the company’s financial resources.
Salary: Negotiable but Attractive
About You
Required Qualifications and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field is required.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is advantageous
- Professional certifications such as IFRS or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are advantageous.
- At least 5 years plus relevant accounting experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to supervise junior and intermediate accountants and provide leadership
