1. About the Organization:

VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 which currently amended to 626/2009 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in five of the Regional States of the country.

VisionFund MFI is currently looking for candidates for Security Shift Leader role. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:

2. JOB SUMMARY

Coordinates the security and safety work of security personnel assigned to the shift under the close supervision of the supervisor; Prepares daily and monthly work schedules for security personnel in consultation with the Security Supervisor; Ensures that security personnel are assigned to appropriate security areas; Reports daily to the supervisor on the security situation of the organization

3. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates the work of security personnel; Supervises; Assigns security personnel to the work force; Compiles and summarizes daily status reports and submits them to the supervisor.
• Ensures that security personnel are present in their security areas in accordance with the issued shift schedule and work instructions.
• Ensures that security personnel perform their duties in a complete and orderly manner.
• Ensures that visitors and employees are properly checked for identification and that unauthorized persons with weapons are not allowed into the facility.
• Ensures that office lights are turned off after working hours; doors and windows are locked and water taps are turned off.
• Ensures that safety regulations are observed in the Company premises.
• Ensures that movable and immovable assets of the facility are properly protected.
• Ensures that security personnel wear their uniforms during working hours every day.
• Ensures that security equipment is handled with care and attention.
• Notifies the security supervisor to assign replacement workers to replace the remaining security personnel on the shift.
• Ensures that security personnel on the shift comply with safety regulations and instructions and that they are properly employed.
• Prepares daily reports on the activities carried out during the shift and submits them to the supervisor.
• In addition, performs other similar tasks;

4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A) EDUCATION/TRAINING

• Completed 10th grade and completed basic military training.

B) EXPERIENCE

• 3 year of work experience

C) TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

• Knowledge of security and the use of firearms.
• Ability to disassemble and assemble firearms.
• Ability to follow instructions and commands.
• Good physical fitness.
• Ability to follow verbal and written orders.
• Knowledge of security systems and emergency procedures as well as customer care.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• May require shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Terms of Employment: Permanent

Salary: As per the Institution salary scale
