VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 which currently amended to 626/2009 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in five of the Regional States of the country.

VisionFund MFI is currently looking for candidates for Frisker (Female) role. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:

2. JOB SUMMARY

A female frisker is a security professional responsible for conducting physical searches of female individuals and their belongings to ensure safety and prevent the entry & out of prohibited items. This role is essential in sensitive environments where gender-specific security protocols are required for privacy and respect.

3. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Physical Frisking & Searching: Perform thorough physical body searches (pat-downs) of female staff, visitors, or Customers at designated entry and exit points.
• Belongings Inspection: Inspect handbags, purses, and personal belongings for contraband, unauthorized materials, or safety hazards.
• Access Control: Verify identification cards and maintain visitor logs to control the movement of female individuals within the facility.
• Protect personnel, property, and assets from potential threats including theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
• Ensures that vehicles entering and leaving the company are licensed and that they are not carrying unauthorized items.
• Opens doors for vehicles; ensures that they are parked in their assigned areas;
• Ensures that office lights are turned off after working hours; doors and windows are locked and water taps are turned off.
• Informs the company’s managers about the situation when an accident occurs in the company; requests the assistance and assistance of the police and defense forces in a timely manner.
• Handles the equipment given for protection with care and attention; uses it only for the company’s work; takes the necessary precautions to ensure that it does not fall into the hands of unauthorized persons.
• In the event of a fire in the company, she tries to extinguish it using fire extinguishers; if she is unable to do so, she requests the assistance of the fire brigade; the police and other government agencies.
• She performs her daily duties in accordance with the rules and regulations of occupational safety.
• She informs the supervisor of any activities that pose a safety risk within the territory of the organization.
• In addition, she performs other similar duties.

4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A) EDUCATION/TRAINING

• Completed 8th grade, basic military training.

B) EXPERIENCE

• 2 year of work experience

C) TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

• Ability to disassemble and assemble weapons.
• Ability to follow instructions and orders.
• Good physical fitness.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of security systems and emergency procedures as well as customer care.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
