Job Description
Job summary:
As the Regional Coordinator for Development for Peace Organization’s project in refugee camps, he/she will spearhead comprehensive need assessments, facilitate communication, build partnerships, and ensure stakeholder coordination within the designated region.
His/her primary focus will be supporting the planning, implementation, and monitoring of humanitarian and development programs in refugee communities.
This role demands adept interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and an unwavering commitment to fostering collaboration and mutual understanding among diverse stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Need Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to identify challenges, vulnerabilities, and intervention opportunities within refugee camps. Analyze findings to develop targeted strategies and action plans.
- Advocacy and Communication: Promote project objectives and achievements through strategic communication and advocacy efforts targeting stakeholders and the wider community.
- Representation: Serve as the primary liaison between DPO and stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and feedback exchange related to project initiatives.
- Partnership Building: Identify, establish, and nurture partnerships with relevant organizations to leverage resources and coordinate efforts toward shared project goals.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Organize meetings and forums to facilitate dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders, ensuring inclusive decision-making processes.
- Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting: Monitor project progress, collect data, and evaluate and prepare reports to inform decision-making and enhance program effectiveness.
- Training and Capacity Building: Provide training and support to project staff to enhance skills in program implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Logistics and Administration: Assist in logistical arrangements for project activities and maintain accurate records of expenses, budgets, and inventory.
- Community Engagement: Build relationships with refugee and host community communities, act as a liaison, and organize feedback sessions to ensure program relevance and effectiveness.
- Program Support: Provide assistance in refugee referral service (secondary and tertiary level) program planning, implementation, and monitoring to ensure alignment with project objectives and beneficiary needs and ensure
- Miscellaneous: In addition to the above-mentioned tasks, he/she will execute assignment as given by the lime manger.

About You
Qualifications/Experience requirements:
Education:
- A Medical Doctor Bachelor’s degree, or a Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field
Experience:
- 4 years of experience with a Medical Doctor Bachelor’s degree, or two years of experience with a Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field
- Experience in humanitarian development settings, focusing on needs assessment, coordination, and partnership building.
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to humanitarian principles and peacebuilding.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional local languages is desirable.
