Job Description

  • Prepare, review, and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
  • Measure and verify completed works for contractor and subcontractor payment applications.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, expenditures, commitments, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Evaluate and assess variations, claims, extension of time submissions, and subcontractor payment requests.
  • Support contract administration activities, commercial correspondence, and negotiations.
  • Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, final accounts, and project closeout documentation.
  • Conduct site measurements and coordinate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify quantity and cost implications.
  • Monitor material consumption, wastage, labor productivity, and equipment utilization against approved budgets.
  • Assist in tender preparation, bid analysis, and commercial evaluation of contractor and supplier quotations.
  • Prepare monthly commercial reports, cost reports, budget status updates, and project progress reports.
  • Identify commercial and contractual risks and recommend mitigation measures to prevent cost overruns and project delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of measurements, valuations, variations, claims, contracts, and project financial data.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and applicable industry standards.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5-10 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience, preferably on infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in roads, bridges, drainage systems, utilities, earthworks, and other civil infrastructure works.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working under FIDIC or similar construction contracts.
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure and government-funded projects is preferred.
