Position Title: Procurement and Supply Chain Manager

Department: Procurement and Supply Chain

Reporting to: Country Manager

Job Summary/Main Purpose:

Procurement and Supply Chain Manager is Responsible to Prepare annual budgets and work programs of purchasing and store activities; review performance and submit reports for the activities of the department.

Main Responsibilities:

Under the general direction of the Country Manager, plans, directs, coordinates and supervises/ oversees the entire purchasing and stores operations of the company:

• Establish a clear procurement plan ensuring that requests are managed effectively.
• Ensure all procurement requests are completed correctly and the duty of collecting quotations is done accordingly.
• Oversee the procurement analysis of all supplies/services ensuring detailed procedure and selection process is clearly outlined within the analysis section.
• Ensure all procurement follows the organizational procurement procedures and all orders are made correctly with the right authorization
• Ensure clear documentation for supplier selection is obtained for auditing purposes.
• Manage the Approved Supplier List. Ensure all suppliers uphold the terms and conditions of the agreement and in need of sourcing or changing current agreements organize procurement committee to facilitate any necessary additions and changes.
• Ensure and maintain an effective and timely order management and acknowledgement system.
• Ensure all processes in the warehouse and Standard Operating Procedures are followed at all times
• Directs the entire process of purchasing including the preparation, tabulation and analysis of bids for all commodities needed for the operations of the factory.
• Supervises the receipt, storage, issues, delivery and control of raw materials, spare parts and other supplies used for factory operations.
• Ensures the maintenance of records of economic order quantities and oversees the preparation and up-dating of procurement schedules for supplies regularly demanded by the company’s.
• Oversees the entire correspondence, negotiation and settlement of procurement matters with the banks, customs offices, insurance companies, local and foreign concerns.
• Supervises the maintenance of inventory control records; develops and enforces efficient supply management procedures, techniques and forms.
• Organizes and coordinates the physical inventory count of all warehouse items; makes sure that warehouse inventory balances are reconciled with those of the general accounting record.
• Formulates and implements policies and procedures designed to assure overall economic purchasing and efficient warehouse management.
• Perform all additional manufacturing works as instructed by the country manager.

Job Requirements (Education and work experience):

MA/BA degree in procurement & Supplies chain management, Management, Economics and related business fields and 8/10 years relevant work experience, out of which 4 years’ experience in senior job positions.

Skills required:

• Good Command of English.
• Dedicated and willing to work under stressful condition
• Good Communication and Interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Good manufacturing Practice (GMP).
