The Peace Building Technical Coordinator – WVE has been implementing integrated programs in different parts of the country using a diversified funding stream aimed at reaching out the most vulnerable children, families and communities in the operational areas. Peacebuilding is one of the Technical Programs implemented in both stable and fragile contexts. This Technical Program is implemented in close collaboration and partnership with government sectors, community-based organizations, faith-based organization and other local actors.
The position holder is in charge of coordinating the Peacebuilding sector interventions in the respective FCOs, coordinating and implementing peacebuilding initiatives aligning with Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus (HDP) framework in the target Area Programs (APs) as well as grant projects within and outside the operational areas. He/she is responsible for mainstreaming of Peacebuilding activities into other sectors and promoting social cohesion and conflict sensitivity within the respective program Hubs.
The incumbent work closely with national office, local partners and stakeholders to ensure peacebuilding programs are contextually relevant. Regularly attend regional meetings and coordination platforms related to peacebuilding representing WVE, summarize periodic reports from the APs and grants projects within the respective FCOs and send to the HO’s Peacebuilding team.
