Organizational Background
HUNDEE – Oromo Grassroots Development Initiative is a local non-partisan, not-for profit and secular charity organization established in April 1995. HUNDEE broadly envisions seeing a just world where women, men, boys and girls live in dignity and prosperity. To this end, it has been promoting various projects being developed in the areas of development and community education interventions.
It has secured funding support from ISHIDO for the implementation of a project that seeks to deliver family-focused HIV prevention, testing, care services and interventions for vulnerable children in Adaba, Adola, Bule-Hora, Negele Arsi, Odo-Shakiso, Shakiso, Shashemene Yabello, Becho, Burayu and Woliso, Kofele, Dire(Mega), towns of Oromia National Regional State. The Main purpose of this project is to strengthen local HIV epidemic control so that 95% of individuals living with HIV know their status, 95% of persons living with HIV initiate antiretroviral therapy and 95% of clients on antiretroviral therapy achieve their viral load suppression. Currently, our organization seeks to hire competent and qualified candidates who fulfill the following criteria of the position.
Position: Office Driver
HUNDEE seeks a dedicated, responsible driver to transport staff, guests, and donations while ensuring the safety of children under our care. This role is integral to supporting HUNDEE’s mission of providing care to vulnerable children and families. The driver will operate the organization’s vehicles safely, adhering to all traffic regulations, and assist with logistical tasks such as airport pick-ups and document deliveries. Knowledge of minor vehicle maintenance is required.

Duty station: Shashemene, (Site flied to Project implementation (Adaba, Adola, Bule-Hora, , Negele Arsi, Odo-Shakiso, Shakiso, Yabello, Becho, Burayu and Woliso, Dire(Mega), Kofele towns).
Salary: Negotiable subject to organizational salary scale and project budget.
Terms of employment: Eight months contract, with possibility of renewal depending on merit and job continuity.
