Job Description

Organization:

Tamra for Social Development Organization (TSD) is a local Civil Society Organization established in 1998. TSD operates across Addis Ababa, Oromia, Sidama, Central, and Southern Ethiopia, focusing on youth empowerment, peace building, gender development, sexual and reproductive health (SRH), climate justice, and sustainable livelihoods.

Position Summary:

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting, and Learning (MERL) Coordinator will lead the coordination and implementation of the organization’s MERL framework, ensuring effective data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning to measure program performance and impact.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement the MERL framework and support the development of KPIs.
  • Design data collection tools and methodologies.
  • Conduct field visits and collect quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and security.
  • Analyze data and develop dashboards and visualizations.
  • Prepare progress, learning, and impact reports for management and donors.
  • Promote organizational learning through knowledge-sharing and documentation of success stories.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: BSc or MSc in M&E, Statistics, Economics, M&E, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields.
  • Experience: 4 years (BSc) or 2 years (MSc) of relevant MERL experience, preferably in NGOs/CSOs.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English required.
