Business Unit Description

The Human Resources function at Kifiya plays a strategic role in enabling organizational scalability, performance excellence, and talent sustainability across all business units. HR partners closely with leadership to translate business strategy into people, structure, capability, and culture solutions

Position Summary

The Manager, People Experience is responsible for leading end-to-end people operations and employee experience across the organization. This role ensures HR services are efficient, compliant, employee-centric, and aligned with business needs, while strengthening onboarding, lifecycle management, engagement initiatives, and HR service delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

Listening, Engagement and Insight Systems

• Own and evolve Kifiya’s employee listening architecture (engagement surveys, pulse checks, onboarding feedback, exit insights).
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify systemic experience pain points and emerging engagement risks.
• Partner with HR Analytics to translate insights into clear experience improvement priorities for leadership.

People Operations Leadership

• Lead core people operations including onboarding, employee records, HR service delivery, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor laws, internal policies, and audit requirements.
• Oversee HR process standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Employee Experience and Engagement

• Design and implement employee engagement initiatives, wellbeing programs, and experience enhancements.
• Lead onboarding experience design to ensure smooth integration and early productivity.
• Analyze employee feedback and engagement data to inform action plans.

Employee Experience Design and Lifecycle Ownership

• Design and continuously improve the end-to-end employee experience across key moments that matter: onboarding, probation, performance cycles, growth transitions, and exits.
• Translate employee experience insights into scalable experience standards, playbooks, and service principles across business units.
• Ensure consistency of experience while allowing contextual flexibility for technology, field, and program teams.

• Efficient, compliant people operations across all employee lifecycle stages
• Improved onboarding and employee experience metrics
• Standardized HR processes and SOPs

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, Management, Psychology or related field (Master’s preferred)

Experience

• 7–12 years of progressive HR experience, with strong exposure to people operations
• Experience in fast-growing organizations, fintech, or consulting environments preferred
• Proven leadership and people management experience
