Main Cashier

Federation of Ethiopian Associations of Persons with Disability (FEAPD) would like to hire competent professionals for the following positions in contractual basis for its project.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Main Cashier under the supervision of the Senior Finance officer, is primarily responsible for the management of the daily cash activities of the organizations based on the principle, policies & procedures of FEAPD. She/he will make use of technical & financial skills to track and manage the cash flow; while also assist staff/departments the task given with coordination. The position holder also perform other activities assigned by Finance & Administration Manager.

Tasks of the Assignment

The Cashier will have the following specific duties and responsibilities:

1. Administering and controlling use of approved budget
2. Collect payment request from each work department & process the transaction as per deadline
3. Ensure the necessary documents to be attached with payment
4. Ensure the compliance of internal control and financial policies
5. Ensure smooth implementation of activities and effective and efficient utilization of resources for intended purposes
6. Collect cash transfer advice from the bank and follow up of daily cash position
7. Following up the receipt of budget fund, donor fund and cash flow;
8. Prepare cash payment voucher if needed and checking appropriateness of requests for payment before passing for approval,
9. Prepared the tax summary on monthly bases and pay taxes(I/tax, Pension, withholding taxes)
10. Ensure the monthly electricity, water, telephone to be paid monthly basis
11. Support financial and project staff with tasks and request on regular bases
12. Support logistic/procurement unit by facilitating payment
13. ensures proper utilization and accounting of the same,
14. Perform other duties assigned by Finance manager

• BA/Diploma in Accounting
• Sec. Science, accounting, Marketing
• Relevant Experience working with cashier position at similar environment
• Minimum of 2 years for BA and 4 years for Diploma. NGO experience is advantageous
