The Cost & Budget Head is responsible for leading the organization’s cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning functions. The role ensures efficient resource utilization, financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial decision-making. The position plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence and long-term organizational growth.

05. General Accounts Head

Job Summary

The General Accounts Head is responsible for overseeing the overall accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy of financial records, compliance with regulatory requirements, and timely preparation of financial statements. The role ensures strong internal controls, efficient accounting processes, and reliable financial reporting to support strategic decision-making

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank).
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Monitor supplier payments and customer collections.
  • Oversee reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable balances.
  • Monitor daily cash position and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain fixed asset register.
  • Ensure proper capitalization, depreciation, and asset verification.
  • Conduct periodic asset counts and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate tax filings (VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax, etc.).
  • Strengthen internal control systems and accounting policies.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
