Hiwot Ethiopia, established in 1995, is a national non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the well-being of children and youth through programs focused on health, education, child rights and protection, livelihoods, gender equality, and disability inclusion.

With financial support from Social Development Direct, Hiwot Ethiopia is implementing safeguarding projects in Addis Ababa and the Amhara and Tigray regions. The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Coordinator is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and strengthening of MEL systems across Hiwot Ethiopia’s programs. The role ensures the systematic collection, analysis, and reporting of high-quality data to monitor project performance, inform decision-making, and promote organizational learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The MEL Coordinator will also ensure that all MEL processes are aligned with safeguarding principles, including the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH). This includes integrating ethical data collection practices, maintaining confidentiality, and establishing accountability mechanisms throughout program implementation.

The organization invites qualified and interested candidates to apply for the position of Child Rights Governance (CRG) Coordinator.
The CRG Coordinator will lead the implementation of the project/program, providing technical leadership to ensure high-quality child rights programming and meaningful outcomes for children and youth. The position will strengthen child-focused structures, promote accountability mechanisms, support advocacy initiatives, and engage duty bearers to advance child rights.
The role will also establish and maintain strategic partnerships with government institutions, CSOs, and other stakeholders, while representing Hiwot Ethiopia in relevant networks, meetings, and forums.
