IT Intern | Hawassa

PIN would like to invite energetic, disciplined, responsible Female intern applicant to work under IT department

Length of internship: for 6 months

Number required: 1 (one)

Salary: 6,500 ETB

Place of Work: – Based in Hawassa Sidama Region with frequent field travel to PIN’s project sites in different regions as required.

Some specific tasks are:

CLIENT STATIONS

• Installing, reinstalling operating system and PIN approved and recommended software
• Installing software updates
• Installing all necessary and recommended security updates
• Setting up user profile according to PIN policies
• Connecting client stations to network resources, such as shared disks, printers etc
• Follow-up the cleanness of the PIN assets (Laptop, Desktop) frequently
• Monitor short-term loans of asset (Tablets ,Camera, Smartphone)
• Make sure the assets function well & registered on temporarily database when Fixed Assets movement.

HELPDESK

• Standard troubleshooting of client’s hardware and software problems to the extent of experience (including printers, scanners, faxes etc.)
• Consulting advanced helpdesk issues with IT Officer
• Prioritizing helpdesk issues
• Setting up emails and logins for PIN staff as advised by the line manager.

NETWORKING

• Setting up and maintaining basic LAN and Wireless network with emphasis on security and order
• Consulting advanced design and modifications of LAN and Wireless network with line manager

General obligations and responsibilities

• Regular reporting to direct line manager.
• Observe rules of signed confidentiality agreement
• Observe software legality in accordance with PIN policies

• The worker takes over the responsibility for all entrusted material or cash. The Worker is obligated to cover all damages or losses caused by his carelessness. The Agreement of Liability of Assets has been signed separately.

Other: other assignments corresponding to actual needs of the project, program or mission up on the request of line manager.

• Minimum BA degree in Computer Science Technology and Information System and other related fields of study from a recognized higher education institution
• Only Graduates of 2023 or 2024 E.C
• Only zero years of work experience required
• Good interpersonal communication skills
