ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referenda, and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its institutional strength with a special focus on the enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for the Intern Position who meet the following requirements.

Reports to: HR Departments

Duty station: NEBE Headquarters, Addis Ababa

Duration: 4 months

Salary: A Stipend to cover some costs

Job Summary

Background

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive intern to support our HR functions. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in documentation, filing, and recruitment support. The intern will play a key role in ensuring temporary and permanent staff complete all necessary onboarding procedures and documentation.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in organizing and maintaining employee files and administrative records
  • Support the documentation and filing of recruitment-related paperwork
  • Ensure temporary staff sign employment contracts and submit required documents
  • Track and follow up on missing or incomplete recruitment files
  • Help prepare onboarding kits and documentation packages
  • Coordinate with HR and hiring managers to streamline document collection
  • Maintain confidentiality and data integrity at all times

 

About You

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Prior internship or volunteer experience in HR or administration is a plus
