Partnership for Pastoralists Development Association (PAPDA) is a legally registered humanitarian, non-profitmaking, non-religious, non-political, and non-governmental local organization striving to empower the livelihood of pastoralist communities in Ethiopia. PAPDA was established in June 2006 and registered with the Ministry of Justice in May 2007, with registration No.3111. The organization was re-registered by the newly established Charities and Societies Agency in the Ministry of Justice with a certificate No 0355. The mission of the organization is to contribute towards the provision of efficient, effective, and sustainable basic socio-economic services that enhance the living standard of the pastoralist communities.
PAPDA seeks experienced professionals for its EHF/OCHA-funded project entitled “Integrating and Strengthening Community-Based Protection and Resilience for Drought-Affected Communities in Rayitu Woreda, East Bale Zone, Oromia Region.” focusing on Protection/GBV sectors. The project aims to reduce protection risks and strengthen the safety, dignity, and resilience of women, girls, children, and vulnerable groups in drought-affected communities of Rayitu Woreda through community-based protection, survivor-centered GBV and child protection services, integrated MHPSS, and strengthened coordination.
GBV case worker
Position Title: GBV Case Worker
Duration of Assignment: 11 months
Reporting Line: Reports to the GBV/Protection Officer

Duty station: East Bale zone, Rayitu woredas
The GBV Case Worker will provide survivor-centered GBV case management services to women, girls, and other survivors of gender-based violence, in line with international standards and ethical guidelines.
To deliver high-quality GBV case management services that ensure safety, confidentiality, dignity, and informed choice for survivors.

· Participate actively in GBV coordination meetings, working groups, and case conferences, ensuring survivor safety, informed consent, and confidentiality.
· Coordinate with health, legal, psychosocial/MHPSS, protection, and security service providers to facilitate timely, safe, and survivor-centered referrals.
· Maintain and regularly update GBV referral pathways and service mapping in collaboration with partners and community structures.
· Maintain accurate, confidential, and secure GBV case records in line with data protection and case management guidelines.
· Prepare and submit timely, non-identifiable reports on GBV cases, trends, service gaps, and protection risks to inform programming and decision-making.
· Immediately report safeguarding and PSEA concerns through established internal mechanisms and contribute ethically to internal and donor reporting.
· Minimum 4 years of experience in GBV case management or related protection work in humanitarian settings, and out of which a minimum of one year of NGO experience in the field.
· Strong knowledge of GBV guidelines (IASC GBV Guidelines, Inter-Agency GBV Case Management Guidelines).
· Ability to work with survivors sensitively and ethically.
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Commitment to humanitarian principles, protection ethics, and confidentiality.
