Job Description
Mission and objectives
UNICEF Ethiopia is implementing a five‑year Country Programme (2025–2030) whose mission and objective are to advance the realization of the rights of children and adolescents by contributing in a coherent and integrated manner to the five outcomes of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2025–2030. Through a child‑centred, equity‑focused, and human rights‑based approach, the programme supports national efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by strengthening systems that deliver inclusive, resilient, and gender‑responsive social services. Anchored in the UNSDCF and aligned with Ethiopia’s Ten‑Year Development Plan, UNICEF works in partnership with the Government and the wider UN system to place children at the centre of peacebuilding, human capital development, climate resilience, and social inclusion, ensuring that the most vulnerable and marginalized populations are not left behind.
