Finance Officer – Pharo School Assosa

Pharo Foundation is launching a new, high-quality school in Assosa and is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Finance Officer to manage the school’s financial operations and ensure accountability, transparency, and efficiency in all financial transactions.

📍 Position Details

• Location: Assosa, Ethiopia
• Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, petty cash, and bank reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with Pharo Foundation’s financial policies and Ethiopian financial regulations
• Support audits and ensure accurate documentation of all financial records
• Work closely with the school leadership to support financial planning and decision-making

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or ACCA certification is a plus)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management or accounting (education sector experience preferred)
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Peachtree) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in English
