Job Description
Work Context:
Based in Addis Ababa, the jobholder is responsible for managing the finance, administration, and logistics support function of the TRAIL program including Oromia region. The jobholder is responsible for the proper functioning of the TRAIL program office and supervises the support team.
Main Tasks:
- Manage the day-to-day financial and administrative functions of the program;
- Ensure compliance to the internal controls and procedural requirements of the financial system;
- Maintain accurate and complete financial documentations, close monthly accounts and send monthly reports in time;
- Plan, schedule and control pooled vehicles fleet management system and cost center based costing;
- Manage the accounting software to generate accurate and timely reports on budget and spending;
- Ensure the correct application of financial tools and procedures;
- Ensure adequate and timely communication on financial and administrative matters;
- Oversee the proper management, utilization and control of strategic stock of imported bridge materials;
- Review and submit monthly stock movement control report to finance manager;
- Plan, supervise and control the works of staff engaged in warehouse management and distribution across regions;
- Establish standard administration and logistics procedures and practices to be followed;
- Ensure adherence to local safety and security plan/protocol;
- Manage and supervise the administration, finance and support staffs;
- Perform monthly/annual accounts closure, including bank reconciliations and submission of timely and accurate reports to program office;
- Proactively engage in financial risk management and fraud prevention.
About You
Qualification, Experience, and Skills:
- A minimum of BA degree in accounting and related disciplines;
- 7 years of highly relevant experience;
- Working with international NGO and donor agencies at a supervisory role;
- Computer literate;
- Experience and skill in working with accounting software programs;
- Knowledge of English (written and spoken);
- Ability to communicate effectively across multi-disciplinary program team;
- Handle stress and to work under pressure;
- Excellent ability of intercultural mediation;
- Confidentiality and flexibility.
