Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Support Services Team Leader for our operations in Dollo Ado Field Office, Somali.
The Economic Recovery assistant is responsible to facilitate filed level awareness sessions, trainings, assessment activities, beneficiary targeting and developing of partnership with major Kebele level stockholders like local administrative, Elders, Women affairs, Youths and all segments of the community.
In Addition to the above role the economic recovery assistant is expected to participate in data collection, community orientation, targeting, providing technical support on project implementations, provide close and door to door support for the targeted beneficiaries, tracking of every provision, tracking of outcomes and inspiration of beneficiaries on their business activity.
The Economic recovery assistant is expected to properly identify and know the targeted beneficiaries of his woredas or kebeles. Documenting of all profiles of beneficiaries, follow of on implementations of activities at field level and providing of weekly updates for the Economic Recovery Officer are also the other responsibilities of the post holder. Timely management and solving of each compliance at kebele level and reporting for the officer is among the expected responsibility of the position.
Ensuring of sustainability of Village Saving and Loan Associations (VSLAs) through coaching of their regular meetings, savings, business activity, loan service among the members, bookkeeping activities or tracking of income and expense, functionality of committee’s and their bylaws is among the responsibility of the post holders. Provision of regular awareness rising and refresher training for the VSLA members for betterment of their association and their business development are also among the expected mandate of the position.
Coaching of the business activity of SMEs, identifying of their challenges, tracking of their progress and providing of timely solution in coordination with the project officer will be the responsibility of the Economic Recovery Assistant. Follow up on documentation, timely delivery of achievement updates or weekly progress of the project are among the other.
Providing a close follow up and technical support for the attainment of the early recovery interventions like on farm and off-farm activities Like agricultural activities (Vegetable production, crop production, Root and tuber production livestock production like poultry- and fattening interventions) and Non- Agricultural Activities (petty trades and services) are the key role and responsibilities of the post holder.

Experience and technical competencies:
EDUCATION: (include certificates, licenses, etc.)
Minimum of Diploma and BA in Development Economics; Development management, Accounting and finance Agriculture, Rural Development, Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Cooperative and SMEs development or other relevant fields, or Bachelors with relevant work experience.
