Digital Product Development Officer – Retail & MSME

Job Summary

• The Digital Product Development Officer – Retail & MSME is responsible for supporting the development and enhancement of digital products tailored to Retail and MSME banking. This role involves assisting in evaluating digital product proposals from external vendors to ensure alignment with the bank’s objectives. In addition, the role holder is responsible for participating in new product development and conducts market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in Retail and MSME sectors.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineering or any other equivalent field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management is added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of four (4) years relevant experience

Functional/Technical Competencies

• Ability to work cross-functionally, leveraging diverse expertise to develop innovative digital financial products.
• Understanding of the Bank’s client segments, their evolving needs, and behavioral trends.
• Analytical skills to assess industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market shifts, translating insights into strategic opportunities.
• Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance standards, and risk management principles in digital product development.
• IT proficiency with expertise in emerging digital banking technologies and cyber security.
• Programming and coding skills, with a solid foundation in software development methodologies, ensuring efficient and scalable product solutions.
• Critical and analytical thinking skills to evaluate business needs, optimize digital product performance, and resolve complex challenges.
• Problem-solving abilities, applying logical reasoning and data-driven decision-making to enhance digital product effectiveness.
• Understanding of UX/UI principles, user-centered design, and human-computer interaction to optimize digital banking experiences.
