Job Summary

The Ethiopian Human Rights Council (EHRCO) seeks to hire four Data Analysts to reorganize 30 years of human rights violation reports in alignment with human rights accountability under Ethiopia’s Transitional Justice process. The assignment aims to enhance data consistency, strengthen advocacy efforts, and ensure compliance with international human rights documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze existing human rights violation reports.
  • Extract, consolidate, and organize verified information into standardized records.
  • Classify violations by type, legal framework, perpetrator, and affected population.
  • Assess evidentiary strength and verification status of documented violations.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and recurring violations to support accountability and advocacy.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Law, Human Rights, Political Science, Social Sciences, or related fields.

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in human rights documentation, reporting, or advocacy.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Familiarity with international human rights law and documentation standards.
  • Proficiency in organizing, classifying, and verifying complex datasets.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
