The Data Analysis and Web Developer is responsible for efficiently planning and organizing her/his monthly activities, ensuring timely execution, and promoting a positive work environment.
He/she ensures the effective operation of PAPDA’s IT ecosystem, aligned with its vision, mission, values, and principles. This role encompasses a comprehensive approach to IT management, including technical support, IT infrastructure administration, network security, DevOps, ERP system support, data center infrastructure management, and software development. The position also plays a crucial role in result-based decision-making by analyzing data and supporting internal system development and deployment from business analysis to implementation. He/she will work closely with multiple teams across the organization to optimize digital operations, automate processes, and enhance IT security while ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
● Develop yearly, quarterly and monthly activity plans and upload them on time.
● Prepare monthly activity report in the last week of every month before salary is effected.
● Assessment of the existing IT Infrastructure.
● Prioritize intervention areas in consultation with the ICT and Publication Coordinator and MEAL Coordinator.
● Develop a comprehensive implementation plan for identified areas.
● Design, develop, and maintain web applications from back-end to front-end.
● Implement secure and scalable APIs and integrations with other internal systems.
● Develop custom web-based solutions that meet organizational needs.
● Optimize website performance through efficient database queries, caching mechanisms, and content delivery strategies.
● Work with UI/UX designers to enhance user experience and accessibility.
● Ensure compliance with security protocols, data protection regulations, and industry best practices.
● Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all PAPDA team members using the ERP system.
● Internal customization and configuring ERP modules based on PAPDA’s business needs.
● Manage user access controls, permissions, and security settings within the ERP.
● Monitor ERP performance, diagnose issues, and apply necessary fixes.
● Train staff on ERP functionalities, best practices, and troubleshooting common issues.
● Assist in system upgrades, data migration, and integrations with other software.
● Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers and storage systems.
● Monitor data center performance, power consumption, and environmental conditions.
● Implement redundancy, backup solutions, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and uptime.
● Ensure proper network security, firewall configurations, and access controls within the data center.
● Manage server virtualization, cloud-based hosting, and containerization strategies.
● Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for software development as needed.
● Automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling processes using DevOps best practices.
● Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
● Optimize software deployment through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using different tools.
● Monitor system logs, detect anomalies, and apply proactive security measures.
● Work closely with developers to streamline software development lifecycles and enhance deployment speed.
● Administer and maintain PAPDA’s computer networks, ensuring security and optimal performance.
● Manage routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure seamless connectivity.
● Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and apply security protocols.
● Work closely with the ICT and Publication Coordinator to upgrade and improve network infrastructure.
● Establish and maintain a robust data backup system to prevent data loss.
● Conduct regular backups of critical data and develop disaster recovery plans.
● Test and implement data restoration strategies to ensure business continuity.
● Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT.
● Evaluate and recommend new hardware, software, and system enhancements.
● Assist in developing and implementing IT policies and technology roadmaps.
Internal System Development & Deployment
● Assist in business analysis, requirement gathering, and documentation for internal system development.
● Participate in design, development, testing, and deployment of new IT solutions.
● Ensure integration of internal systems for seamless operation.
● Provide technical expertise in database management, API development, and system architecture.
● Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop custom applications tailored to PAPDA’s needs.
● Provide technical training sessions to enhance the digital skills of PAPDA staff.
● Develop instructional materials, user guides, and best practice documents.
● Conduct workshops on ERP usage, data security, DevOps practices, and system administration.
● Assist employees in adopting and utilizing IT tools effectively.
● Encourage a culture of cybersecurity awareness and digital literacy within the organization.
● Conduct workshops and seminars to enhance the digital literacy of employees, fostering a tech-savvy workplace.
● Actively engage in self-capacity-building initiatives.
● Proactively identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy, proposing and implementing process improvements as appropriate.
● Pursue pre-requisite certifications mandated by the organization to support ongoing professional development and organizational transformation.
● Work collaboratively with PAPDA executive office, operation, programme and finance team members to address complex technical challenges.
● Participate in team meetings, contributing to strategic discussions on IT initiatives.
● Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
● Any other business assigned by the Planning and MEAL Coordinator.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, providing a solid foundation in systems administration, Security, and web management.
· Experience: Experience in system and web administration, including managing servers (Linux and Windows), Operating systems, how Networks and Networking hardware Work, and skills with web Development Frameworks /CMS and administration (CMS/WordPress, CSS, JavaScript, PHP.) and with some design backgrounds and social media administration setting for more than 3yrs.
· Requirements: Proficiency in network infrastructure troubleshooting, server management, and web technologies. Strong problem-solving skills and security awareness is a plus.
