Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Communications Consultant to support project deliverables under the s290 (IKI LTS sub-grant). In this role, you will synthesize project reports and multi-stakeholder consultation outputs to develop policy briefs, targeted analytical notes, and communication products. Your work will directly communicate the integration of food systems transformation into Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) for policy audiences.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Policy Brief Development: Synthesize technical project reports and stakeholder workshop outputs into impactful, high-level policy briefs and targeted analytical notes to guide NDC revisions.

• Workshop Preparation & Extraction: Provide technical commentaries on workshop templates and extract key content for policy brief materials.

• Knowledge Dissemination: Write and edit engaging science blogs, policy briefs, and communication products tailored to decision-makers and policy audiences.

• Stakeholder Engagement Synthesis: Translate complex multi-stakeholder consultations and science editorial research into actionable policy insights.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrated background in science communication and translating complex research for non-technical audiences.

• Expertise in policy document generation and editing high-level policy briefs.

• Strong background in science editorial work with exceptional writing and proofreading skills.

• Hands-on experience with stakeholder engagement and consultation synthesis.

• Familiarity with agricultural biodiversity, climate change mitigation/adaptation, or food systems transformation (a strong plus).
