Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the job Holder is responsible for the coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of BRAVE/(Mullata Keenya – Our Vision) Project planned Activities in at project implementation woredas (Gumbi Bordode Woreda, Mieso Woreda, Chiro Zurya Woreda and Guba Qoricha Woreda). and provide Catchment based Mentorship Guidelines; Awareness of concepts and strategies of quality care; Providing post-service training; onsite technical guidance and support to ensure quality through onsite training, mentoring and other capacity building initiatives.

Understanding the concepts of Client centered care; Understanding major policies/issues of government health policies, regional policies; Awareness of concepts of clinical competency; Basic computer skills; Pro-Choice, managerial skill and leadership qualities in similar position.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement BRAVE/(Mullata Keenya – Our Vision Project activities in assigned woredas in line with the project’s detailed implementation plan.
• Facilitate the formation and capacity building of youth groups, Champions of Change (CoC) clubs, Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) sessions, peer education networks, and adult support groups (ASG).
• Support the implementation of disability-inclusive activities in collaboration with EWDNA, including accessibility audits, sign language training, and engagement of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs).
• Conduct community mobilization, awareness-raising sessions, and dialogues on SRHR, gender equality, harmful practices (CEFM, FGM/C), climate resilience, and positive masculinity etc.
• Work closely with woreda health offices, schools, women and social affairs offices, and religious institutions to integrate SRHR interventions into existing systems and structures.
• Provide technical support and mentoring to health facility staff, Health Extension Workers (HEWs), teachers, and community volunteers on adolescent-friendly, gender-responsive, and disability-inclusive SRHR service delivery.
• Monitor the availability of SRHR commodities and supplies in supported health facilities and advocate for timely replenishment through appropriate channels.
• Collect, verify, and consolidate project data using approved tools and templates, and submit timely reports to the Project Manager and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer.
• Support the implementation of feedback and accountability mechanisms, including child-friendly feedback systems, to ensure community voices inform project adaptation.
• Organize and facilitate regular review meetings with community representatives, youth groups, and local stakeholders to track progress and address challenges.
• Document field experiences, success stories, lessons learned, and best practices for learning and reporting purposes.
• Ensure all field activities adhere to FGAE and donor’s safeguarding, PSHEA, and environmental policies.
• Assist in organizing training, workshops, and community campaigns in collaboration with partners and government stakeholders.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or supervisor.

Language & Contextual Knowledge Requirement:

• Proficiency in local languages (Afan Oromo) and English; knowledge of sign language is an asset and Familiarity with West Hararge Zone or similar socio-cultural and geographic contexts is desirable

Additional Requirement

• Having a motorbike driving license is advantageous

 

Minimum Required Qualification:

• MPH/MSc /BSc in Public Health, Nursing or health Management science and other related fields

Minimum Years of Relevant Experience:

• 4 Years for MPH/MSc, 6 for BSc degree directly relevant experience
• .shall possess experience implementing SRHR, gender, youth, or community-based projects, preferably with CSO, or government in Ethiopia.
• Experience working with adolescents, youth, persons with disabilities, and marginalized communities in rural settings
